the shoe care by farfetch style hub

We spend so much money on shoes, but why do we bother if we don’t spend the time, money, and effort looking after them? When it comes to my most prized possessions, my shoes, I believe in giving them the best treatment and when approached me to share my secrets, I knew, I had to talk about my go-to kit.

The Loake Valet Box is packed full of products perfect for use on any and every shoe in my wardrobe.

I try to keep the whole process as simple as possible and after watching Farfetch’s How to Clean Your Shoes video, that process just got a whole lot easier! And with the launch of Farfetch’s Style Hub witch features all their own tips, tricks and secrets, I sit on the edge of my seat ready for my next Style Hub fix!

What’s my secret go-to product?

Obviously, not everyone is willing to splash out £100 on the Valet Box or have a full shoe shine kit at their disposal. That being said, your shoes don’t need to suffer as you only need a few things to make your shoes look just as good as the first day you bought them.

Are they clean?

Making sure your shoes are dirt-free should be an easy, daily, 5-minute task. My brogues get a brush down after I’ve worn them, followed by clean with a damp cloth and I always leave them out to dry.

Polish

Polish is not a product I use often, but when I do, I tend to use polish as a correction tool for little scuffs my shoes have. Polish is an amazing tool if you get the colour match correct and fortunately for me the Loake Valet Box has every colour imaginable!

The Finish

So, my go-to product, that has brought back to life so many of my shoes, has to be the Loake Oiled Leather Wax. The wax is soft wax designed to condition, revive and protect all smooth waxed and oiled waxed leather finishes. The wax does just what it says on the tin and is probably the best product I use on my shoes and I highly recommend investing in a pot if you haven’t already.

If you’re struggling getting any of the above products then a damp flannel and some elbow grease will do! Thanks for reading and don’t forget to like, share on your numerous social networks and leave a comment etc.
