So London Collections Men has just flown by and I barely had time to follow the latest shows through style.com nevermind be there to experience it all first hand. That being said, I spent quite a few hours looking through the shows extensively! I had a few favourites from the spring 2016 collections such as Agi & Sam and Matthew Miller who, in my opinion, have had some of the best collections I’ve seen from them. Also, collections from Hardy Amies, Christopher Kane and Christopher Shannon stood out as fresh in design, use of fabrics and styling. I see this season setting the tone for menswear going ahead.
Three collections shone brighter than the rest for me, with the first one being Tiger Of Sweden’s cool, calm and collected offerings. Each look painted a picture in my mind of a forgotten heir, dipping in to the family fortune and living life like a rock star whilst in Cannes. Did I read into the collection too much? Probably, but who cares. While it wasn’t loved by fashion critics all round, I found the collection charming, easy to wear and that perfect way to look on point with minimal effort. My favourite part of the collection has to be the striped pieces! Usually stripes would have no place in my wardrobe and for good reason as it’s hard to come by a good stripe, they’re not the easiest to style and not the most flattering. However, Tiger Of Sweden makes it look easy and effortless to pull together an effective look using stripes that it will most likely be the base for my summer look, fun!
Serious issues By Fashion Nazi! I could debate stripes until the days end but don’t ask me about current affairs! All in all, a strong collection from the brand and alot stronger than last seasons efforts and despite what the critics have to say, I loved it!
How controversial of me.
Thanks for reading and don’t forget to like, share on your numerous social networks and leave a comment etc. I’ll be discussing the Margaret Howell collection in my next post.
